The Challenge
Our client, a leading global investment management company with a diverse office portfolio who commit to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene whilst seeking operational efficiency.
Post pandemic the company wanted to assure their people they were returning to a safe and hygienic environment. To improve their traditional cleaning methods of fixed cleaning schedules with no real time information, they sought a smarter way of working.
THE SOLUTION
After a rigorous selection process the client down selected Spica Technologies award winning GemEx Smart Cleaning solution.
The solution involved deploying a network of IoT sensors in conjunction with Spica’s powerful GemEx Workplace platform including the Smart Cleaning Web app. Sensors were deployed in washrooms and other critical areas. The sensors provide real time information of visit counts. The GemEx platform allowed managers to configure parameters for real time alerts which can be sent via email or text. In addition, the platform also provides in-depths analytics so trends could be identified, and resourcing planned appropriately. The platform provides the client with a complete audit trail of all data changes.
The Web App allows operatives to view an interactive digital floor map showing a RAG status of any issues for the area they are responsible for allowing them to deal with and manage cleaning issues dynamically. Spica supported the client with onboarding training workshops from dedicated customer success managers whilst providing an online help guide and digital support ticket system.
